		<description>I wanted to add that the IBC requirements are stricter for guardrails. OSHA will allow you 19" clear between the horizontal rails. For the IBC codes you can have no more than 4" clear spacing between the horizontal rails.

As you say, you do have to check both standards and make sure that you meet all the applicable requirements for your location.</description>
